PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Language
shapes our understanding of ourselves, our surroundings, and our relationships.
Words can create a sense of belonging, but they can also be exclusionary
without our awareness, especially when they touch on aspects of our unique
identities such as gender, race and ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation,
and others. In this Program, Dr. Aparna Sethi shows you how to create
and hold space for others at work by using gender-inclusive language.
Discover the significance of inclusive language and its relationship to workplace culture and belonging. Dr. Aparna Sethi walks you through fundamental concepts such as Diversity and Inclusion, Exclusion, and Inclusive language with examples, and pronouns.
